Ringcraft & Match Meetings
Ringcraft classes are where we help you to train your dog for the show ring. Match Nights are held monthly for members and give an opportunity to have a go at showing your dog with some friendly rivalry.
Whether you are new to dog showing or perhaps feel the need to brush up on your handling skills we can help. No matter what your experience of showing is we welcome everyone and aim to do this in a friendly, fun and relaxed environment. If you are a seasoned shower with a new puppy or a complete beginner we can assist and offer advice where and when needed.
Within YCA there is a wealth of knowledge of the show world with committee members owning various breeds from all seven groups (gun dogs, terriers, utility, toy, pastoral, hounds and working dogs).
In particular we will spend extra time with newcomers and also dogs that may have developed a problem with their time in the ring or being gone over – you tell us and we will do our very best to help.
